Without a doubt, the most widely used developement tool in the Orbiter community box. This link will take you to the Anim8or Home site for the free download of the latest stable version. You can also pick up the Users manual for this program in a variety of languages.

Just a small reminder that the Anim8or Orbiter Mesh export script will not work with the BETA versions of Anim8or.

I know some people use the BETA version because it handles textures a lot better.

I use a modified version of the export script that does a few extra things like create a batch file for BMP to DDS conversion, excludes groups from lighting effects and puts the textures in a sub-folder. The BETA file format is readable by the release version so what I do is create the model in the BETA and then export it in the release version.
