I find the StarHunter a very appealing ship. The history that is shown, from the original base design, to the add on
improvements, battle damage and equipment installed as needed repairs with the quality textures to support them
gives an added sense of realism.
The extensive VC that has been done is a good compliment to the external model. I am not familar with the series
but am now interested  and will track it down.  Does this ship normally carry Viper like craft or cargo Raptors..?
That hangar is very big.  Are weapons in her future..?

Definitely a model worth spending time with.
I took the liberty of putting togeather a cfg for Multiview to get around and see the ship.

From the TV series.
It is a "Trans-Utopia Cruise ship Lines"  luxury cruise liner.
It's name is Tulip
It had 4 baseball fields, 12 ball rooms and countless pools.
It is almost 200 years old and has changed hands numerous times which is why it is in such disrepair.
Currently only a small portion is habitable and has gravity.

There are two versions of the ship depending on which series it is in, Star Hunter or Star Hunter 2300.
The QJTUM is the original Tuilip from the first series and the Other one with the tower is from the second series.
No real explanation was given for the difference other then "refit".

At one point I had a model of the first one without all the damage but I have since lost it. Although it would be easy to recreate.
In the spirit of the show the new owner, i.e. the fleet, refitted her to handle  Viper and Raptor operations.

I've just started looking at Tulip 2003 and very much like the way the ship has evolved.
As with the earlier ship the FTL drive is impressive.!
Does the ship have an EVA port at that lower airlock..?
Is she setup for cargo and the "little people"..?

Here are some points I found of interest for MultiView.

No. The Cargo Raptor was the first ship I did for UMMU and UCGO.

The star hunter stuff is months if not well over a year old.
Yup, I just checked the file date on the QJTUM and it was March of 2009.

I was testing it out last year before I got married. I think you had all the bugs worked out.

Trust me this ship is Bug less.  If you look real close at the captains chair you can see my permanent butt print and several coffee stains lol.  She flies wonderfully in space and atmo.  All her bells and whistles work.  She's not a military ship however it did have weapons on the show but most of the time it was getting it's butt kicked.  Believe it or not but the original Tulip was tougher than the second version even if it looks opposite.  "I love my particle canon!" (Dante Montana)  Of course feel free to add whatever to your ship config but don't get carried away because you'll feel like you wasted time when I release the next ship lol.

Make no mistake Jon made the ships, I just showed him something shiny lol.
This is not the best Sci-fi (StarHunter) but it is very similar to Firefly in a lot of ways which is the better show of course.  If there's a tore up ship in the story I'm there.

That's way I'm leaning towards doing the Bebop. It can only land in water and I didn't know how I would handle that but my son suggested that I just set the ground point in a way that most of the ship rests underground.

Both the Starhunter, (strange that they never once hunted any stars), and the Cowboy Bebop universes would make good Orbiter systems because both deal with humans colonizing the solar system so there are lots of bases and stations to visit.

Love Bebop, great anime. And some will accuse me of heresy but I'm not a big fan of aliens.  We are our own worst enemies and will continue kicking our own butts regardless of how far we go out there.  I found a StarHunter ID card on one of the fan sites and StarHunter is basically a bounty hunter.  But that's stupid to me.  I always thought it had something to do with the divinity cluster or the pursuit of hyperspace travel (2300).  They never talk about using hyperspace in the first one.  And they spoke in relativistic dialog. Rudy, "You owe me five years rent on the Tulip!"  Percy, "We're on the curve it's only been five months."

Yeah, while good science it doesn't fit well with the whole bounty hunter thing. Somebody commits a nasty crime and the bounty hunter finds out that 2 years ago the purp  was at location X? How does anyone deal with each other in a reasonable way?

I got a pm that TransU wasn't working.  But...fixed.  OOps :P  Missing the mesh and scn's.  A pm from a cadet, isn't anyone else getting this or do they just have the files already?  My fault.  Should have checked it.
